Yoga And Cancer Awareness Camp: Jiwan Cancer Sahyog – Dr. Amit K Dhiman
Dr. Amit K Dhiman, The Jiwan Cancer Sahyog Trust had organised a Yoga and Cancer Awareness Camp on Sunday from 7 am to 9 am at Rose Garden Ludhiana. The camp was organised to underline the role of holistic approach including yoga for both health and cancer patients.
Dr. Amit K Dhiman explained the importance of yoga and exercise in cancer patients. He told that both exercise and yoga maintain a balance between the mind and the body. As a result, it increases the immunity of our body to fight against diseases. Anuradha and Balraj Sharma instructed about yoga asanas to the gathered candidates.
They explained that the main purpose of yoga i.e asanas and pranayama is to attain the balance of body, the concentration of mind and control of breathing.
Anuradha told that By performing yoga asana, the physical balance of the body is achieved and pranayama provides control of breathing. Both pranayama and asana increase the concentration of mind. The participants appreciated this activity. The cancer patients, old age citizens, young adults and teenagers all participated in this activity. Yoga was well enjoyed by teenagers and motivated to do regularly for body wellness and fitness. This will help us to provide a healthy future.
