Educational Background
He completed his MBBS in 1998 and then undertook MD (Internal Medicine). He further went on to study DNB (Medical and Haemato-oncology) and Professional Diploma In Clinical Research (PDCR) in Delhi. Later he completed the European Certified Medical Oncologist from Sweden in 2014.
Achievements
Dr. Amit Kumar Dhiman has successfully started the “AUTOLOGOUS BONE MARROW TRANSPLANT program” at Dayanand Medical College, Ludhiana. He has also written editorials for the Textbook of Association of Physician of India year 2016. Moreover, his experience and zeal have also made him part of the member of the editorial board of the Journal of “ Asian Journal Of Oncology”.
Research Experience
He did Phase 2 study of a new drug combination for the advanced metastatic gallbladder cancer. Along with that, he did a study for the advanced non-small cell lung cancer patients who have had prior chemotherapy.
Currently, he is doing research on the safety and efficacy of Bevacizumab (Zydus Cadila) With Bevacizumab (Avastin®) in Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer (NSCLC). Additionally, he is doing research of Mercaptopurine for patients suffering from acute lymphoblastic leukemia.

Teaching Experience
He is also sharing his knowledge and experience with the undergraduate students and trainees. He taught his students on the subject of medicine and medical oncology only in the form of tutorials and practical aspects. His main teaching is regarding the presentation, diagnosis & screening of various types of cancer.
